HIRING A CAR AT THE AIRPORT
From Heraklion Airport
From Heraklion Airport turn right onto the national road towards Rethymno and Chania. When you get to Rethymno, after about 80 kms you will pass under an underpass. Keep going towards Chania (about 40 kms) and you will see a sign on the right saying Kalives. Turn right here and go into the village. When you come to a large turning on the right with a bank on the corner and a launderette in front of you on the right, go straight over (sign for Vamos Medical Center). Just after this on the left you will see a turning to a large carpark and the beach. Park here and walk along the beach road to the right, third turning on the right by the taverna "Elena", go up this path for 50mts and Apokoros Family Hotel Apt&Std are on the left.
From Chania Airport
From Chania Airport come out of the airport and turn left at the roundabout at the bottom of the road. Then turn right and follow signs to Chania and the national road. When you get to the national road follow signs to Rethymno and Heraklion. After about 17kms you will see a turning on the left for Kalives. Turn left here and go into the village. When you come to a large turning on the right with a bank on the corner and a launderette in front of you on the right go straight over (sign for Vamos Medical Center). Just after this on the left you will see a turning to a large carpark and the beach. Park here and walk along the beach road to the right, third turning on the right by the taverna "Elena", go up this path for 50mts and Apokoros Family Hotel Apt&Std are on the left.
TRAVELLING BY BUS
Buses regularly travel between the main towns of Heraklio, Rethymno and Chania. From whichever direction, you will need to get off at the sign for Kalami-Kalives. Apokoros will arrange for a taxi to pick you up.
